As part of our continued efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, April 2022 brought the installation of Solar Panels on the factory roof and to complement that we have installed Two EV Charger Points.
We estimate that this will reduce our energy consumption by 15% of its current rate and saving in the region of 5 Tonnes of CO2 emissions.
This combined with the fact the rest of our electricity usage we purchase through SSE on a 100% renewables tariff we feel makes us as green as we can be at this time.
In line with our Green Policy, we already have the first EV car in the business with the next intention being to replace the vans with full EV models when a suitable vehicle is released.
